The specialized jacket protects the cable from damage caused by environmental conditions and is both extremely flexible and resistant to lubricants, heat, cracks and tears, therefore making it suitable for both outdoor and harsh environments. These properties make it perfect for use in Wireless Base Station Applications and meet FTTA Requirements. Both LC-UPC ends are encapsulated in Ruggedized, Outdoor Rated, UV/Corrosion Resistant Connectors that feature locking bayonets for quick, secure, one-handed mating and dust caps to protect the ends when it's not in use. Primarily used in Telecommunication Systems, this cable is designed for FTTA (Fiber To The Antenna) applications and would commonly connect the BBU (Baseband Unit) in the equipment room to the RRU (Remote Radio Unit)/RRH (Remote Radio-Head) in a Wireless Base Station Application.
